Kathleen C. Thompson is a personal injury attorney at Dixie Law Group in Louisville, Kentucky, where she represents individuals and families harmed by negligence, medical error, and institutional failure. With more than a decade of experience in civil litigation, she is known for disciplined case development, rigorous legal analysis, and the ability to translate complex medical and technical evidence into clear, persuasive advocacy. Living with achromatopsia—a rare visual disability—has further shaped her attention to detail, careful listening, and commitment to clarity. Kathleen has spent the majority of her career representing plaintiffs in personal injury and medical malpractice cases, guiding clients through discovery, expert development, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Earlier in her career, she served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Kentucky, an experience that continues to inform her meticulous preparation, strategic judgment, and trial-ready approach to every case.
Kathleen earned her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Centre College. She is admitted to practice in Kentucky, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She lives in Louisville with her husband, Nick, and their daughter, and enjoys experiencing new cuisines, cultures, and sharing life’s discoveries with her family.
